Story for Olson and Villar

Postby shake_n_bake » Mon Apr 13, 2020 10:40 am

Other than finding more back-end pitching which I hope to find during the season along with another closer, I am not sure where my weaknesses are. Out of boredom, I have sent a plethora of trade concepts to try and get some of the guys I liked butjust missed out on. Mostly dry fires without counters unfortunately (which at least would provide some entertainment) but got one on the hook that I think is a no brainer.

He gets M. Olson and J. Villar and I get T. Story. I can start Biggio at 2B so all good there. Like you, I like Olson a lot more than most and certainly more than any ADP (although I was able to secure him with the 70th pick!) there is no way I don't pull the trigger here, right?

Secondary question, who's the best bet for taking over closer role among the following RP's on my waiver: M. Barnes, M. Magill, K. Crick, J. Alvarado, J. Karinchak, or E. Clase

Thirdary (Tertiary?) question, if I were to add one of these SP's off of waivers who would it be and at the expense of which bench bat (tried like hell to trade Walker and Rosario but nothin's bitin): D. May, D. Hudson, J. Happ, N. Pearson, G. Canning, D. Cease

Yahoo 5x5 H2H 12-team League (I added round I drafted for S&G's)

C - J. Alfaro (23rd round)
1B - P. Alonso (2nd round which appears like a reach on every projection I can find aside from Grey's!)
2B - J. Villar (4th round)
3B - E. Suarez (7th round)
SS - M. Semien (8th round)
OF - R. Acuna (1st round obvi, 3rd overall pick, siked about that!)
OF - R. Laureano (10th round)
OF - O. Mercado (11th round)
UT - M. Olson (6th round)
UT - C. Biggio (13th round)
BN - Y. Puig (17th), C. Walker (18th), A. Rosario (19th), A. McCutchen (FA add)

SP - S. Bieber (3rd round)
SP - P. Corbin (5th round)
RP - L. Hendriks (9th round)
RP - A. Houser (20th)
P - L. Lynn (12th round)
P - A. Heaney (14th round)
P - R. Ray (15th round....feels like a regret in retrospect)
P - L. Weaver (16th round)
BN - J. Lucchesi (21st round)

Dropped - A. Verdugo (22nd...dropped to pick up some pitchers to put on IL hoping to snag him back but missed out...don't feel good about it either)

Thanks!

Well, problem right now is the Rockies might play their season in Arizona and not Coors and you would get beat real bad by this trade if that happens...

Magill

Hudson over McCutchen

If you want me to look at your team, post the team. Don't post a link to another site where the team is.
Have you given me all the info I need to judge your team? The number of teams in the league is a good start for the big overall questions.
Is your league H2H? Roto?
I don't know who's on your waivers. Don't just ask me who you should pick up. Give me names to choose from.
If you only have one team, post your team in your signature with the league parameters.
I don't know every single matchup for next week, so if you want me to choose a player for the following week and you think the matchups are important, tell me who they're facing.
There's more than one player with the same last name? Then spell out who you're talking about.
Thanks!

Thanks Grey! How would adjust Story's projections for an AZ only season?

Story prolly falls to around a 2nd rounder in Arizona, he still steals and Arizona isn't awful for offense...When the time comes, I will adjust everyone's projections if that's how the season plays out
