Trade for King

Postby ohbilly2134 » Thu Apr 04, 2013 11:55 am

Okay, so clearly I need to upgrade my starting rotation.

I'm targeting King Felix or Cliff Lee, who a willing trade partner owns. I'm willing to trade Soriano (my only closer) because I usually end up with several others by the end of the season as a result of vulturing saves and the waiver wire for new closers.

He already offered:

I give:

I get:
King Felix

Because I have Goldschmidt and Encarnacion, I can certainly afford to trade Pujols, but I think I'm giving up a bit too much.

I was thinking of countering with:

I give:

I get:

Not sure if he'll accept, but what do you think? Maybe just offer a Pujols for King swap? Then I can slot Encarnacion in at 1B.

Thoughts? Thanks!

How about Encarnacion for Felix? Pujols should be unavailable except if you get two players who start every day back, which you aren't.

There's no reason for Soriano to be in that trade... Felix's value is around that of Castro and Pujols > Tulo. If anything, he should be throwing in a closer.

That second deal is a lot closer. Either drop Soriano out or add another player to the Tulo side. Really depends on what you think Pujols will be this year. Is Pujols a top 5 player this year or is he more in line with Tulo's value which also has top 5 upside.
