Trying to land Jose Reyes

Postby pablo » Tue May 03, 2011 11:55 am

Team in the sig. Need an upgrade at ss. Reyes' owner is way light on saves, and has Jeter on his bench. He also has Gallardo and Ubaldo and probably would like a another pitcher.

I drafted League for holds, and picked E. Sanchez up for the same, and now both are closers instead. So I have six closers and could spare one.

What's an appropriate offer to make here?

SS is very shallow, so you might have to make an offer like Bills/Kuroda & Valverde. I think Grey mentioned in today's notes that Valverde is hurting a little, so you might want to hurry an offer before your opponent catches on. Good luck!

If you could make an offer to an Andrus owner, you might have a better chance...Reyes is playing for his contract year now, and will likely be traded to a team that's actually competing...
