1st round of playoff....Roth or Orton, Tolbert or Westbrook

Postby eltoo » Sat Dec 11, 2010 2:02 pm

PPR League....

My current starters:

QB: Big Ben vs Cin
WR: Brandon Lloyd at Ari
WR: Hakeem Nicks at Min
RB: Adrian Peterson vs NYG
RB: Jamaal Charles at SD
Flex: Rashard Mendenhall vs Cin
Flex: Mike Tolbert vs KC

On my bench that I'd consider starting:
Orton at Ari
Westbrook at Sea
Santana Moss vs TB

I include Moss only b/c I'm concerned about how much Nicks gets involved coming back off of an injury. I like Orton, but if he drops another stink bomb like last week it hurts twice as bad since I'm starting Lloyd. Westbrook has an awesome matchup and is even more tempting in a PPR league.

Anyone feel like I should start any of the guys I've got on the bench or roll with the starters I have? Thanks

I'd stick with Nicks. I like that he's indoors. I'd go with Orton. Better weather, good matchup and looking to play well for the new coach.
Johnny Ringo: All right, 'lunger'. Let's do it.
Doc Holliday: Say when.

I think Doc is right. Stick with Nicks. Tough passing on Westbrook this week where he's looked good, but your running backs are pretty nasty. I'm hoping for a nice rebound for Mendenhall. I worry about Orton though. They just fired the coach that really stirred that offense up. McDaniels was boob for bungling the taping incident and several drafts, but he knows how to put together a passing game. We did a big writeup on that over at http://www.gridiron-guru.com a little bit ago. Orton goes from hero to zero for the rest of the season. Sad.
