Yeah, I guess that playing a Pro-Bowl QB with a 105 QB rating this year and just about every QB rushing record ever over an unproven guy who struggled in his only playing time this year is a terrible idea.
Just look at his overall body of work since coming to the NFL, it certainly doesn't scream QB with 105 QB rating. Let's not get so fascinated in absolutely miniature sample sizes this year.
Talent = yes; Consistency = No.
His overall body of work consists of Two Heisman candidate years in college, 3 Pro Bowls, a 75-52 career TD-to-INT rate, a 38-28-1 career record as a starter, etc. What more could you want? Clearly he's in a system that relies more on passing now. In Atlanta the running game was always the focus, whether it was Vick, Dunn, or Duckett.
He's ALWAYS had the talent, but he's also had VERY consistent success throughout his collegiate and pro career, so I'll respectfully but adamantly disagree with you saying that he is not consistent.
He's won games his entire life. Why would that change now?
