You don't trade an All-Pro QB to install a new starter unless you really see something. I refuse to believe any of us here are a better judge of talent than Andy Reid and he certainly won't be throwing in the towel on Kolb after 2 quarters of poor play. Vick will start this week but I fully expect a return to Kolb in Week 3.

Yeah, Kolb will be back for week 3. And the previous statement was my opinion. I thought that they got vick to make him the new Qb, and thats why they shipped out donovan. That and the fact that they have been talking about getting rid of him for years before they actually did it. You can only build up so much bad blood before somethings gotta give.

Vick played well against a poor Detroit defense. Kolb had a bad first half against an excellent green Bay defense. This a a quarterback controversy no doubt. I imagine the Philly sports talk radio is ablaze. The Eagles will give Kolb a fair shot to truly evaluate him. They are still tied for first place in that division right now, so no need to panic at QB.

The way Vick is playing, it's hard to believe that it'd be possible to plug Kolb back in for the start next week. "Hey, you threw for nearly 300 yards and ran for around 50 this week... Sorry, we're benching you now." just doesn't sound like a statement that anyone would actually ever make.

I understand the idea that Kolb hasn't had enough time to show what he's got this year yet, but... Vick has. And he's got a lot. Why fix what isn't broken? As long as Vick is performing at a VERY high success rate, why throw Kolb back out there?

Vick is an All-Pro QB with playoff experience, and he's looked every bit as good as he ever did in Atlanta (and I saw every game he played with the Falcons). He may not put up huge numbers every single week, but he can certainly win ball games.

Unbelievably ridiculous move by Reid. Going to be hilarious when Vick lays an egg against Jax this week.

Yeah, I guess that playing a Pro-Bowl QB with a 105 QB rating this year and just about every QB rushing record ever over an unproven guy who struggled in his only playing time this year is a terrible idea.
It's possible that he won't have a stellar game, but it's hard to argue against the success he's had so far.

It will be interesting to see how Vick adapts to a pass heavy offense.
