Ribs?

Memorial Day and ribs. That's the tradition here. Fire up the 'que, cooler full of beer and get some ribs on the grill. Spinning Butterfield, Little Walter, Muddy, Albert King, Sonny Boy, Sonny and Brownie. Little A's Giants on the radio. Thanks to those who made it possible, including my great grandfather who got shot through the throat in a field in Cunel, rural France. Have a good one Razzers.

Rib update: Epic. Three full racks. Home fashioned KC style rub (smoked paprika, brown sugar etc). Home fashioned bbq sauce: black strap molasses, tomato puree, cider vinegar, touch of OJ, honey, mustard, spiced up. 2 hours stacked, indirect heat on the Weber Kettle with a little hickory smoke. Finished with a dash of sauce over flame to carmelize. Got a great smoke ring (http://bbq.about.com/od/barbecuehelp/g/gsmokering.htm). Made baked beans from scractch (more molasses) and slaw. Daughter went cherry picking with sis in law, brought back a ton of cherries. Wife made two cherry pies. Everything washed down with some Lagunitas Lucky 13 and the Sierra Nevada Southern Hemisphere Harvest.

Now I need to sleep for a week.
