keeper league philosophy

Who to start, who to bench. Grab that WW guy? Low priced rookie or high priced stud?

keeper league philosophy

Postby amscalone » Mon Mar 15, 2010 10:49 pm

I'm in a league where we keep seven, and have to forfeit a draft pick equal to the round the player was drafted in, and then subsequent years we pay the round - 1. (drafted in 2009 in the 10th, kept in 2010 in the 10th, in 2011 for a 9th, 2012 for an 8th and then would have to be returned to the draft pool after 3 years)

I have a couple late round values that I won't be keeping, and I've had various trade offers for them.

My question is this: do you think its worth a mid-round pick to give another owner the advantage of having a great late round keeper?

Here's an example: I was offered a 9th round pick for billy butler, who can be kept in the 22nd. Is a 9th round pick worth enough to give the other guy butler that late?

Thanks for any input.

No, a pick isn't worth a player.

If you want me to look at your team, post the team. Don't post a link to another site where the team is.
Have you given me all the info I need to judge your team? The number of teams in the league is a good start for the big overall questions.
Is your league H2H? Roto?
I don't know who's on your waivers. Don't just ask me who you should pick up. Give me names to choose from.
If you only have one team, post your team in your signature with the league parameters.
I don't know every single matchup for next week, so if you want me to choose a player for the following week and you think the matchups are important, tell me who they're facing.
There's more than one player with the same last name? Then spell out who you're talking about.
Thanks!
