Master Standings are here.

Break up the Pole Dancers!  Anyways, the Pesky Pole Dancers (Trippin’ Baseballs) are still holding down first place, stretching their lead to 4 points. Their top hitters this week were Michael Bourn (.344 with 7 steals), Neil Walker (8 RBI), and Mark Teixeira (3 home runs). Ryan Vogelsong picked up a win and 10 strikeouts with a 1.38 ERA to lead the Dancers’ pitching. Chad Billingsley added a couple wins and 11 Ks.

The Ville Al Koholic A (ECFBL) and That’s a shame (The Dread Pirate Rides Again) are tied for second. Matt Kemp was definitely the star of the week for Al Koholic, hitting .409 with 4 home runs, 13 RBI, and a steal. For That’s a shame, Adam Jones (.450) and Aubrey Huff (4 home runs) led the way.

Also, congratulations once again to The Dread Pirate Rides Again, who continue to be the most competitive league.

Category Leaders:

Pesky Pole Dancers (1st) 446 runs.

SAGNOF: Leo Nunez is the major league save leader with 19. He has given good value to his owners as his Average Draft Position in the RCL was 187.9. The earliest he was drafted was in the 13th round, 151st overall. Craig Kimbrel has recorded 17 saves with an ADP of  177.6. Brandon League has been very valuable with 16 saves and an ADP of 234.7.

On the other side, we have Carlos Marmol, Joakim Soria, and Neftali Feliz. Marmol had an ADP of 89 but has only 10 saves. Soria is even worse, with only 7 saves and is no longer the closer in K.C. His ADP was 89.7. Feliz has 13 saves, not quite living up to his 92.8 ADP.

In between these 2 groups you find Heath Bell, Brian Wilson, and Mariano Rivera, who are getting the job done, but probably were still drafted too early. Bell (89.7) and Rivera (98.2) have 16 saves each while Wilson (93.3) has 17. Rivera was the earliest drafted closer, taken 25th overall by Loose Cannons in RCL Original Recipe.

Trading Places: There were 6 trades this week. In RCL 5, the Toronto Bautistas, floundering in the bottom half of the standings, sent Matt Holliday to Paul Dunnyan for Roy Halladay. There was a 6-player deal in RCL 25. Can Of Corn dealt Darwin Barney, Carlos Quentin, and Michael Bourn to Refuse To Lose for Shin-Soo Choo, Carlos Gomez, and Chad Billingsley.

There were also 4 trades in the ECFBL. The Bloomington Psychotoad were very busy. They traded Rickie Weeks and Austin Jackson to HatsForBats KeepBatsWarm for Ryan Theriot and Shane Victorino. Then they dealt Jair Jurrjens to Acme Explosives for Chad Billingsley. They finished the week sending Michael Young and Hunter Pence to Evil Evies for the biggest name of the week, Ryan Braun. In the final trade, Retro Vertigo sent Gio Gonzalez to Merritt Island the bat rastard for Joakim Soria.

There have now been 100 trades involving 322 players. Adam Dunn is the most traded player, having been dealt 6 times.

Hanley Ramirez: You can lose your league on draft day. No team that drafted Hanley is in first place. In fact, 10 are in last place. Congratulations to Yak Attack, sitting in 3rd place in RCL 30, the best placing of any team that drafted Mr. Ramirez.
