Springer over....?

I am in a very shallow league (6 teams), so a lot of prospects don't really come into play in our league, but I LOVE incorporating the newbies into my lineup if it makes sense (hence Abreu, Tanaka, B. Hamilton).
I don't know all that much about Springer, but what I have read makes him sound very desirable. Is he worth picking up over Pagan, B. Hamilton, Pence, or Kemp? If so, who should I drop to make the add?
