First World Keeper Problems

Who to start, who to bench. Grab that WW guy? Low priced rookie or high priced stud?

First World Keeper Problems

Postby A Hill O' Beans » Tue Feb 04, 2014 10:17 am

I've got too many good young players with discount keeper prices to choose from. So in a 12 team standard roto league where I can keep up to 5 and they move up 2 rounds every year, who should I keep out of this group?

(Rosters are C / 1B / 2B / 3B / SS / CI / MI / 3xOF / UT / 3xSP / 2xRP / 4xP)

Player (Round)
RP - Kimbrel (10)
SP - Teheran (13)
SS - Segura (14)
OF - B.Hamilton (15)
2B/3B/SS - Profar (17)
3B - Machado (18)
OF - S.Marte (19)
OF - Puig (20)

I feel like Puig, Machado and Segura are no brainers (?), but I'm a little torn after that. I don't think Teheran is in the conversation, but I think maybe Kimbrel is, but probably still misses the cut. Which leaves me with the bats, where at least one has to go. I made the (HUGE) mistake of choosing Lawrie over Trout as a 16th round keeper a couple years ago when Trout hit 220 and Lawrie hit around 300 in their rookie years. For this reason I'm hesitant to let a guy like Profar go. So, is Hamilton the odd man out, or does his long term SB upside trump the maybe lower ceiling of Marte? Is it Profar that goes?

So many questions... :? ...Anybody have an opinion out there?

UT - Sandoval
BE - A.Guerrero
SP - Yu, MadBum, Dickey, Haren, Buchholz, C.Martinez

If you want me to look at your team, post the team. Don't post a link to another site where the team is.
Have you given me all the info I need to judge your team? The number of teams in the league is a good start for the big overall questions.
Is your league H2H? Roto?
I don't know who's on your waivers. Don't just ask me who you should pick up. Give me names to choose from.
If you only have one team, post your team in your signature with the league parameters.
I don't know every single matchup for next week, so if you want me to choose a player for the following week and you think the matchups are important, tell me who they're facing.
There's more than one player with the same last name? Then spell out who you're talking about.
