AutoDraft never goes well - Help Needed

Who to start, who to bench. Grab that WW guy? Low priced rookie or high priced stud?

AutoDraft never goes well - Help Needed

Postby Dash » Thu Mar 21, 2013 1:30 pm

Just got results from an autodraft league. These things never go all that well, no matter how much you try to control the draft with predraft rankings and draft limits for your team. My team is in sig. I'm trying to make moves to fill in holes. Here are my thoughts, but I would welcome advice.

- I feel like my OF is week, especially with Grandy headed to the DL. Bonifacio is on the WW. I was planning to drop Cuddyer to pick him up since he will also have 2B eligibility before too long and could be a big help if Altuve or Walker don't pan out. However, with Altuve, Reyes, Coco and Maybin, do I need Bonifacio's speed and flexibility more than Cuddyer's stronger bat? I'm not a big fan of Cuddyer's and we still don't know where he may end up this year.

- Is my SP as week as I feel like it is? After Gio & Samardzija, I'm not feeling all that confident. Really not that confident with Samardzija either. Chapman moving to the pen helps with saves, but leaves my SP lacking. I'm trying to trade Howard and/or Ortiz for some SP help. What level SP should I be able to get for Howard and Ortiz.

- I would like to upgrade my C position too, but I figure I can make that my last priority and just pick up what I can depending on what I have left after I pursue OF and SP help.

Any advice??

I'd wait to DL Grandy or Ortiz and not drop Cuddyer... You don't need Bonifacio that badly... The SPs you have aren't terrible, you just don't have enough of them... If anything, I'd DL two of the above players and grab some SPs off waivers... Don't worry about catcher... You could trade a closer for an SP...

If you want me to look at your team, post the team. Don't post a link to another site where the team is.
Have you given me all the info I need to judge your team? The number of teams in the league is a good start for the big overall questions.
Is your league H2H? Roto?
I don't know who's on your waivers. Don't just ask me who you should pick up. Give me names to choose from.
If you only have one team, post your team in your signature with the league parameters.
I don't know every single matchup for next week, so if you want me to choose a player for the following week and you think the matchups are important, tell me who they're facing.
There's more than one player with the same last name? Then spell out who you're talking about.
