Keeper - Wieters or J. Montero

I’m in an 20-team keeper league. I have both Wieters and Jesus Montero and have been getting interest in both. Which one do you prefer long-term?

Do I hang on to both with the mindset that Montero will possibly lose ‘catcher’ eligibility in a couple of years? Would he be a good flex play at that point? Or do I ship him off now and stick with Wieters?

Thanks in advance!

Is it a two catcher league? I prefer Wieters...

Sorry.. 1 catcher spot.
2 utility positions.

That's how I was leaning also.

Wieters is $9.. I have Montero for $4. But not worried about the cap.

This is my first keeper league... so I don't want to sell myself short. Let's say I was looking to trade Montero.. what would a good return be for him?

I'd aim high and see what you get... Maybe Justin Upton? Maybe Lawrie? Hard to say without knowing what you need...

Wieters is better but he also should bring a lot more in trade. I am a big believer in Montero, especially with them moving the walls in Seattle this year. I would probably try to move Wieters and hang on to Montero. He wants to be a catcher, so I don't think he will lose eligibility for a few years at least.

I do, too. But until he gets another legit bat (or two) in that lineup, why pitch to him? If Hamilton and/or Bourn sign there (or they trade for JUpton), then I could see him busting out. Until then, he's pretty meh.

Plus, have the fences actually been moved in?

Safeco moved in their fences, yeah... Metco did last year and that did nothing for the hitter and the Mets pitchers did well...
