Waiver pickup.

Who to start, who to bench. Grab that WW guy? Low priced rookie or high priced stud?

Waiver pickup.

Postby tooms » Sat Apr 11, 2009 7:57 am

Twelve team 7 x 7 roto keeper league. 40 man roster. 25 man active roster.
hitting categories: AVG, OPS, R, RBI, SB, HR, SO
pitching categories: ERA, WHIP, W, S, HLD, SO, QS

I have an open spot on my roster, so I'm thinking I should make a pickup this week. However, since I'm last in the waiver order right now, I could just pass and move up the waiver wire and see what's there next week. I'm going to focus on an arm since I don't need a bat, plus there is NOTHING of value out there right now anyhow for bats, except maybe a few cheap SB's in Nyjer Morgan or Jason Bartlett, but that's it. I lack true set-up men, so I could go after some holds with Sean Green or Kiko Calero, but I might just focus on SP.... So, here is who's out there besides everyone I already mentioned... Who is worth targeting?

Glen Perkins
Ricky Romero
Chan Ho Park
Jorge De La Rosa
Ross Ohlendorf
Scott Lewis
Shawn Hill
Brett Cecil
Doug Davis
Bartolo Colon
Zach Miner
Zach Duke
Jason Hammel
Shairon Martis
Every Texas SP
Jose Contreras

There are a bunch of others, but those, I guess, are the names that stick out. Thoughts?

12 team 7x7 roto keeper* (add'l cats: KO, OPS & HLD, QS)

1B: L. Berkman
2B: I. Kinsler
3B: D. Wright*
OF: J. Bautista*
OF: J. Hamilton
SP: C. Kershaw*
RP: C. Kimbrel

SS: Dee Gordon
SP: Brad Peacock
SP: Henderson Alvarez

I'd hold tight for now.

If you want me to look at your team, post the team. Don't post a link to another site where the team is.
Have you given me all the info I need to judge your team? The number of teams in the league is a good start for the big overall questions.
Is your league H2H? Roto?
I don't know who's on your waivers. Don't just ask me who you should pick up. Give me names to choose from.
If you only have one team, post your team in your signature with the league parameters.
I don't know every single matchup for next week, so if you want me to choose a player for the following week and you think the matchups are important, tell me who they're facing.
There's more than one player with the same last name? Then spell out who you're talking about.
