Alfredo Simon
If you need saves, grab him now. Ask questions later. He's currently getting the save opp. while Jim Johnson pitched in the 8th with a 2-run lead. O's manager also said today that he'll give the closer job to whoever steps up to take it. No idea what any of this means yet, but we'll see. May need to...

Re: This team needs help
I'd take Olivo over Snyder. Normally, I'd say Qualls should be owned, but this seems to be a really shallow league and I have no idea who you'd drop to get him. If there's a bad closer on the wire now, I guess there'll be a bad closer on the wire later when you might be desperate enough to use one. ...

Re: Chris Davis
I don't think trading Davis in a dynasty would make much sense. His value is crap. Unless a big believer offers a great trade, hanging on is probably all you can do, depending on the league format. I hate to even bring such a thing up, but Justin Smoak had 5 RBI in his 15 games in OKC this season . ...

Re: Justin Masterson/Slowey
I've finally cut him. I was excited about his strikeout potential, but he's clearly just not meant to be a starting pitcher.
If he could field worth a shit, he'd have 5 more runs added to his ERA.

Re: pick up a minors guy?
I could see wanting to get Smoak on you active roster, but I wouldn't be surprised to see him start off slowly. I think he started off horribly in AAA.
Maybe give yourself time to work a 2 for 1 trade first.

Re: Should i worry about my offensive
I like that team in a 13-teamer.
Napoli would've been great on the team because power could be a struggle. I'd be shopping Austin Jackson ASAP for any decent power bat. He's hot right now (unlikely to last) and will provide steals you won't need.

Re: Andruw Jones
Who knows what the hell Jones will do going forward, but he's also got 8 walks and a .415 OBP to go along with those 14 Ks. Even in last season's disaster, he displayed 30 HR power. (17 in 281 ABs). He's about a .260 career hitter. If he's rejuvenated and does that, along with another 30 HR pace, he...

Re: Chris Davis
This thread is pretty funny.
I've kept Davis 2 years in a row now. Keeping him this year was like having 3 of a kind and calling a raise with 3 diamonds on the board. You just know, when you slide your chips in the middle that you're about to go broke, but you just can't resist.

Re: Chris Davis or Rasmus....
I agree. Aside from the fact that Davis sucks, Rasmus will at least have an MLB career. Davis' will be over very soon.I think its Rasmus and I don't think its close.

I'm worried about both too, but I wouldn't give up Aramis for Peavy.
