Dan Wheeler?

With Percival back, Dan Wheeler's done right? I want to p/u Liriano and I'd better act soon. I'll be left 1 spot short at reliever so I'll look for a replacement. What quality closer could Jermaine Dye get me?

Re: Jon Sanchez @ home vs. Tigs or Wolf @ Yankee stadium

It's tough to stay disciplined with this spot starting stuff. I parked Lilly and Kershaw on the weekend against the Jays and Tigers and they combined for like 12 scoreless innings, >1k/IP and a sub-1 WHIP. Thanks for the info against lefties...which other teams are monsters against southpaws. I'm th...

Jon Sanchez @ home vs. Tigs or Wolf @ Yankee stadium

Whittling away at an innings overage (parked Lilly during his TO win). I'm thinking of starting Sanchez and benching Wolf away from Petco.

Re: Any Advice Appreciated

I picked up Ted Lilly off waivers a few months ago and I'v been pleased. Lots of strike outs and he'll get his wins on that team. Tough on WHIP and ERA, mostly because that division can rake.

Trifecta of injuries...

...but only two spots. Who do you stash? V-Mart, Pronk or Putz? All were early draft picks and all were worthy of a phonetically incorrect "H" even when they were healthy.

Re: Chad Gaudin

Sorry. I plan on spot starting most of my starters for the next while including Gaudin. Without following him at all this year (new pickup), and with his bullpen assignment I'm not sure if the guy has any value in an 11 team league. Just an easy drop (for a bat)?

Chad Gaudin

Just picked him up as a throw in to a huge trade. Now I see he is pitching middle relief with Harden back. Is he worth stashing as I have a huge innings overage or should I drop him for someone else like Wolf or Liriano?

(edit: sorry mods, can this be moved to waivers?)

Jacoby??

What's the story on his wrist. He's extremely valuable if he gets 4 AB's but I'd have to bench another solid OF. Please pick 6 (inc. utility) to start:
  • Dunn
    Ellsbury
    Quentin
    Dye
    Swisher
    Ibanez
    Jose Guillen
    Bruce

Re: Spot Starting

I'll be surprised if Laffey gets 5 more win this season. I'd start Kershaw against any team from that division...except for the Diamondbacks. Lilly's next start, is at home to Atlanta. Personally, I wouldn't start him. I have a feeling he isn't gonna put up good numbers this start. Would you drop a...

Spot Starting

For those of you around yesterday, thanks for the help with the big Fielder/Dunn for Haren/King Felix trade. I pulled the trigger and now it's time to work on my innings overage. I'm plus 177 innings and have 11's accross the board in pitching in an 11 team league. I'll start Hamels and Volquez ever...
