Re: Pitchers or Hitters in H2H Leagues

This league is AVG, BB/Ks, SLG, RBIs, Rs, SBs, ERA, WHIP, K/9, Ws - Ls, IPs. I usually stockpile pitchers, but this year there are a lot of sleeper hitters I want in the later rounds. Also, it's a keeper league, 26 round draft. You lose your pick in the round before you drafted the player for keepin...

Re: My First Post! Keeper Question: Jennings or Aoki?

First, welcome to Razzball. Love the enthusiasm, but you also wrote an essay, and I (and I suspect most crack-addled 24 year olds) don't have enough focus to watch an entire episode of Aqua Teen Hunger Force. That said, even with him losing keeper eligibility, I would still keep Hosmer over Ortiz. A...

Re: Last keeper - Niese or Wainwright

I would cut either Pagan, or Gardner, for Niese. Definitely keep Wainwright.

Re: Pitcher Tiers - Any value change with IP in place of K's

That makes crafting a pitching staff much easier. You can forget about K's completely, and target guys that average around 200 IPs, with low ERAs, and low WHIPs. There are just too many of those type pitchers. One guy who comes to mind right off the bat is Jordan Zimmerman. You can basically draft h...

Re: UMMM Upton, ahh Heyward Bryce

Heyward is heading into his 3rd season. At this point he's not young young. Given the potential he showed, sure maybe he blossoms into an elite outfielder (also provided he stays healthy), but I would still take Bryce or Upton over him. Harper, like you said, is young young, and that makes him tough...

Re: What two players would you rather have?

Upton and Votto, but it's really a coin flip. Either way you'll turn out well.

Pitchers or Hitters in H2H Leagues

The general rule of thumb for rotisserie leagues is stock pile pitchers on your bench, and keep the amount of hitters on your bench short.

I'm curious as to what people think in regards to this strategy and H2H leagues. Maybe a more balanced approach? Say 60-40 (pitchers to hitters)?

Pairing Pitchers in a Keeper

I already have Bumgarner and Samardzija, which I believe is a good pairing. Who is a good pitcher I should look at for my 3rd SP spot? My other two keepers are J. Upton, and McCutchen. I can afford to take a guy like Zimmerman or Darvish as my 3rd guy.

Re: Keeper Question

Before I even answer this, I just need to ask a question: how do people end up with these absolutely ridiculous teams? You have Votto, Stanton, Trout, Kemp, Jones, Ramirez, Bumgarner, and Wainwright? All on the same team? How?

That said, keep MadBum and Wainwright.
