Is it just me, or does it seem like Bernadina plays like he owns himself in fantasy baseball?
Don't think the .280 will stick, but the 12-15 HR 30 SB pace could. .267 lifetime MiLB BA kinda tempers his potential.

Re: Got lucky with Pitching after loading up on Hitting
I read your first post and thought "His team has a lot of speed and not a lot of RBI power." W/out dunn you are even more-so. Yeah, definitely, but after a certain point I had to cut bait w/ Dunn. Heyward was also a big mistake, I didn't think he'd turn into J.D. Drew II. Remarkably, I'm 7-3-1 in H...

Re: Roughly halfway through my season... how's my team?
In terms of batters, I'm weak on R, AVG and OPS. Here are some candidates, in order of preference: Brennan Boesch - Really shouldn't be available anymore. He's entrenched in the #3 slot and is on pace for 110 runs. Seth Smith - OPS machine Brett Gardner - Probably not available, but who knows. Ange...

Re: Roughly halfway through my season... how's my team?
Would Bud Norris be an upgrade over either Lilly or Gee? Absolutely, in my opinion. STOP READING THIS POST AND GO AHEAD AND PICK UP BUD NORRIS. NOW!!!! Ok, keep reading. Lilly is usually money, but there are RED FLAGS. You BUY Lilly because he gets you a 3.5/1.08 WHIP/ERA, 7.5 K/9 (or 165 Ks/season...

Re: Got lucky with Pitching after loading up on Hitting

Re: Good strategy or poor sportsmanship?
I'm sorry, but how could this even come close to poor sportsmanship? This type of decision is a very basic (and important) one in H2H fantasy baseball. So long as any decision is made with the intent and purpose to give you the best chance of winning the week, then it's fine. This really is no diffe...

Edwin Jackson
How legit is he? I gather that he's a must-add if he's available, but is he worth trading for? I'm just trying to figure out if he's just a streaky pitcher, or if he's actually as good as he's looked thus far (and in '10 with CWS). How much/what type of value should we be giving up to acquire him?

Re: ryan raburn
so I did the whole punt @ 2nd base and used Raburn for 2nd (qualified in my league). I know it's early but he has played in 2 out of 4 games, I am not too excited about that. What's the deal with his PT. Boesch is looking pretty good early. see team details below. no one on the WW - more a general ...

Re: Got lucky with Pitching after loading up on Hitting
Quick update, looks like I'm gonna have trouble finding wins with this team. I dropped Encarnacion for Lopez, dropped Fuentes for Beachy. So far, my pitching: 47.2 IP, 38Ks, 1.28 WHIP, 2.83 ERA, 1 W, 6 SVs. This includes Lyon's 18 WHIP 81 ERA implosion. Hitting is aite... .279-17-7-21-0 in 104 at-ba...
