Re: Thanks Razzball! Because of you, I finished _______!!

Thanks Razzball! Because of you I finished 1st, 1st, 1st, 2nd, 3rd. Oh yes, three championships and two by the skin of my teeth. Many, many thanks to you Grey. More than telling us who to pick up and why, I've learned how to think about the game in a ways I hadn't before that have lead to sweeping s...

Dusty Baker...

...is a jackass. He just intentionally walked Prince with 2 on and 1 out up 3-1 in the 5th in a game that doesn't matter for either club. Really? Cowardly fat bastard, I understand trying to win every game but I have multiple championships on the line and I need Prince to at least get a CHANCE to hi...

Re: Bench Vlad?

I benched him in my weekly points league, it was a tough call since it's the championship week, but I just can't risk starting him for his one good game of the week. Plus, now that the Rangers have clinched you know Vladdy is going to sit a few times for some rest, he's been dragging ass since a few...

Title time! Just 2 moves for 2 weeks, though...

Yep, just 2 moves for the entire 2 week title run. So! Conventional wisdom says hold the transactions for the final days of the match up for emergency spot starts... but with a limit of just 2 moves I'm wondering whether I should hold tight early on and see how things shake out after week 1, or are ...

Re: Go Tulo!

He's killing me in a H2H league, cripes. I have a chance to win with pitching, but getting CRUSHED offensively because of him, it'll be a great comeback for me if it happens

Start Beckett vs. TOR?

I'm thinking no... he was crushed by the Jays last time out, they see him often (though not this year), but Beckett has also been a lot better since he returned from the DL. I'm on the fence, here's the league info: 12 team H2H 6x6 6 transaction limit per week (I'm at 5/6, he's at 5/6) R/HR/RBI/SB/A...

Has Latos hit the wall?

Holy back-to-back shellings, Batman! This horse just cost me ERA and WHIP (for the moment) and I was ahead by a long shot before. He's never even approached this kind of workload, have the Pads ridden him too far? And is he safe to deploy in H2H playoffs next week?

Re: Do you realize...

This really chaps my ass, too. I'm a big fan of Hamels, and even when he's filthy the Phillies never back him up with run support. His best win total so far is 15 and that's a season where his ERA was barely over 3 and his K:BB ratio was 4:1 in 227.1 IP. Now this year he's back to form, 3.31 ERA wit...

Re: CarGo v Votto

FYI:

Based on this year's salaries, Pujols and Cabrera, as examples, could be kept for three years at $58 per year and $45 per year, respectively. Ryan Braun at $49, I believe. So, yes, they both should be bargains.
Holy hell, yes. If that's the case I'd keep Votto.
