I rejected the offer, and received another offer of Matt Cain for Matt Harvey, which I jumped all over. Hate to lose Harvey because he is going to be a fun ride this year, but there is no way that I can pass up that deal for Cain.

I don't think you are wrong. I would not cancel that trade. When you trade for any player you always run the risk of that player getting hurt and being put on the DL.
