Re: Nolasco or Hamels - who would you rather have?

Yeah, they're pretty even pitchers overall; neither has a large advantage over the other. strikeout-wise, I'm just concerned that Hamels has been on a downward trend: 2006 - 9.9 2007 - 8.7 2008 - 7.8 2009 - 7.8 2010 - 10.1 He's up so far, which is great. It's just a matter if he keeps it that way. M...

Re: News of Griffey soon to be released from SEA

The Royals can afford to trade Guillen for sure, they have plenty of run support for their pitchers. Greinke must be ecstatic over the rumors!

Re: Guillen or Andruw

Agreed. Andruw hasn't looked this trim since 2000-2003. I doubt he hits over .270 but he ought to be a solid source of power and the speed probably isn't a total mirage given the weight loss and the four 20+ SB seasons he has under his MLB belt.

That's where laziness comes in; I'd have to make at least 3 or 4 mouse clicks along with typing a whole new team name in

Re: Nolasco or Hamels - who would you rather have?

To break the tie, I'd say Nolasco ;D Nolasco pitched a lot better than his ERA indicated last year, and he's had a higher Kper9 than Hamels both years that he's been in the majors. He also walks less batters overall than Hamels does. On the flip side... The Phillies will get a lot more wins. I'm gue...

Re: Moving Beckham

I think it sounds good; McCann has been having vision problems again this year, but he just got his new glasses back, and he said he'll be wearing them everywhere he goes so that he can get used to them more quickly. His hitting ought to improve dramatically pretty soon.

Re: Austin Jackson or Bret Gardner?

I'd say Gardner, too. Both are solid, but Gardner's older and has a lot more MLB experience, and he stole bases at a much higher rate per game in the minors, too.

Re: Evan Longoria for Ryan Howard

I'm annoyed that Heyward isn't on my roster, either... All 12 managers in the league live in Georgia; Heyward wound up getting drafted in round 8, which was earlier than I was willing to pull the trigger :/

Evan Longoria for Ryan Howard

I lose Longoria and I get Howard. I'm pretty sure that I want to offer this trade. I'm in a highly competitive league with friends and family, and one of my cousins happens to be a big Devil Rays fan. He also has Ryan Howard. I want Howard. I'm only asking for opinions here because Longoria is runni...

Re: Please rank: Medlen, Leake, Gorzlanny

I agree with PaulONeill, Medlen hardly looked "unimpressive". He shouldn't have been taken out of the game in the 5th inning. In fact, Bobby Cox cost me an entire point in a league because I would up tying in the wins category... Him getting the win would have been nice. Anyway, Cox is the anti-Dust...
