Re: Wieters

.281, 4 HR's, 13 RBI's, 10 Runs... It's not amazing, but it's certainly not bad, either, especially considering the lineup that he's stuck with at the moment... Don't get so frustrated that you give up on Wieters, he could still pay huge dividends by the end of the year, and at the very least, he's ...

Re: We need a term for....

An NL pitcher going to the AL could get "AL CaPwned", if you're into gamer terms and gangsters. Carries sort of a double meaning of getting shot up by the mob and just getting straight up pwned.

I'm not sure it really works, though :/

Re: Sizemore or J-Upside

Grady has looked terrible all season long... He's got more strikeouts than hits. With that being said, I don't think Sizemore is done, but I think he has a lot of work to do to get back where he was before, and the time it takes him to do that work is going to leave him with a LOT of ground to make ...

Re: Heyward and N. Morgan for Upton

As much as I like Heyward, assuming this is Justin Upton, it sounds like a good deal for you. Morgan is 8-14 in SB attempts, and isn't good for much else. Heyward will probably, like you said, hit 25-30 HR's, but Upton should hit 30-40 and steal 20-30 bases, so you're basically consolidating the pow...

Re: Mike Aviles or Stalin Castro

Ramirez is usually horrible in April, bad in May, and pretty good the rest of the way... But Casto has potential, so you might want to hold onto him at least until you see Alexei getting hot.

Re: Grey & Doods: I'm skeptical of Medlin

He was in the BaseballAmerica top 10 minor league prospects for the Braves' organization in 2009 (And the Braves had one of the best farm system's in baseball last year), so he wasn't unknown. His hype was merely overshadowed by the Tommy Hanson hype. I was actually more excited about him than Tommy...

Re: Grey & Doods: I'm skeptical of Medlin

10.4 K/9 in the minors, 9.6 last year in Atlanta. It's only 7.7 so far this year, but he's got GOOD stuff, and his track record (as short as it is given that he's so young) shows that he's legit. It's not like he's new to starting games; he started 17 in '08 and then 6 in the minors last year vs. 4 ...
