Re: Hanley

any time you get the best player in a deal you can pat yourself on the back, especially in this instance where you get one of the top 2 or 3 players in baseball. I do think the other guy did well with the package you sent him because Tex is gonna lit it up as always in August and Sept and I'm becomi...

Re: ManRam Traded!!

My only concern for Florida is that Manny comes in and screws with team chemistry. I really like Hermida but you can't question the Marlins, they always seem to push the right buttons. Re: Which SP the rest of the way?

I'd go with Chris Young...he looked great in his return the other night (even though it was against the free swinging D Backs). The ballpark doesn't hurt either.

Greinke would be a close second, followed by Marcum, who just hasn't looked right upon his return from the DL.

This is all assuming they don't make a deal for Huston Street.

Re: Cy Young

I realize K-Rod has had an unreal amount of saves this season, but Joakim Soria, Mariano Rivera, Jon Papelbon, and Taipei Slinklo have all been better relievers this year. If the season ended today, the AL Cy Young winner is Cliff Lee and it is really not close.

WHIPping boy

An outing in which a starting pitcher is plagued by errors and unearned runs, which lead to uneven ratios.

The errors don't hurt the ERA but they definitely hurt the WHIP looking at a 6 inning, 1.50 ERA, 2.50 WHIP
