Re: Who should I drop?
drop some bench for SP. I think that is the general trend. Why does everyone draft a bat on the bench. I can see one or maybe two tops. I generally like to keep my bench full of bats, especially early in the season. I see my bench as a spot to park spec guys that might get hot. A bench batter has 5...

Re: pitching is deep: so tfwhat?
Another factor is the number needed. If we're talking SPs vs hitters, in most leagues, you're going to need 6-7 SPs, where as you're going to need 12 or so hitters. Only needing 6 or 7 SPs makes it much easier form a good pitching staff while ignoring it in the early rounds. With the depth at SP com...

Re: Overrated players
Not sure how Mark Reynolds can be considered overvalued. He's going at pick 153 (ESPN). Right in between Alvarez and Stewart (and almost 50 picks after Sandoval). You know what Alvarez and Stewart are? A pair of guys who strike out a ton, will kill your average, might one day display the kind of pow...

Re: drop Johan?
Johan clearly isn't the same (an 88 MPH heater makes that change-up alot less scary), but I couldn't see dropping him outside of a very odd situation (maybe if you're way behind on IP, streaming is the only option, and the added points would help win a league). If you must stream, you don't really h...

Kila called back up
A little shocked here. The Royals are only 21 games out of the Wild Card. No idea why they'd want to call up a youngster with 3 straight 1.000+ OPS seasons when they could just ride Jose Guillen's bat to the playoffs.

Re: Dynasty League Trade
I'd rather have CarGo and I don't see how it's all that close.

Re: Prince trade: trying be fair to both sides
Makes sense. I think Davis and Colvin are good pieces to have in a keeper, but it still feels like I'd be stealing Prince. From other owners, I wouldn't care, but this guy's in last and his team is struggling mightily (has for years). The last thing I want to do is take his most valuable piece witho...

Prince trade: trying be fair to both sides
Just looking for some input on a trade. I'm trying to come up with something that really is good for both teams. The current offer: Receive: Prince Fielder Send: Ian Kinsler, Ike Davis, Tyler Colvin, Aramis, Berkman, Jack Cust (He's a huge A's fan and Cust would be one of his better OF's) League set...

Re: Delmon Young
Grabbing Young earlier this season when someone dropped him was the only thing I've done right all year.
No idea if it'll continue, but when a guy is 24 years old, was formerly considered one of, if not the, best prospects in the game, and he starts tearing the cover off the ball, you take notice.

Re: Mauer Deal
Probably not a bad idea, as there does always seem to be someone out there really thinks Mauer is a valuable. Personally, I'd probably rather have Upton. I don't expect Upton to be what we thought he'd be, but he is only 25 and, even at his worst, still provides SBs. I'm never particularly intereste...
