Re: Ugh! Shopping Morneau is tough!

I'm not seeing a lot of value for you in trading Morneau for a package that doesn't include a 1B. Unless I missed something...who would play 1B for you in a Morneau for Zimmerman deal of some sort? Given your OF depth, I'd try Morneau and an outfielder to someone with a better 1B but poor OF. I'm wi...

Re: Outfield depth for pitching help

At first glance Granderson for Santana straight up seems fair, but I make my money by doing 2-for-1 and upgrading my starting lineup.

Outfield depth for pitching help

Blessed with a deep OF this year. Already parlayed Werth and Cargo (and Marmol) into Adrian Gonzalez, Reyes, and Phillips in variety of moves to make up for an awful infield. With Stanton getting the call-up and Beltran coming off the DL (eventually?), my bench will be too deep again. I'm looking to...

Re: Stanton's call up?

As a Stanton owner/waiter, I'm hoping for nothing less than Ryan Braun's rookie campaign. More realistically, I wouldn't be surprised with a Jay Bruce-like hot start and slow fizzle.

Re: Axford

Agreed. I'm holding onto Villanueva as the most likely to get the next shot. Axford didn't look any better than Villanueva out there. He just had a 2-run lead to work with instead of 1. Otherwise it was pretty similar...leadoff double, 1 run scored, strand the bases loaded. That said, I wish I had d...

Re: Stewart or Beltre as my main 3b starter?

Follow-up Stewart question. Weekly lineups, waiting on A-Rod's return at 3B. Felipe Lopez or Ian Stewart for next week? Lopez is getting me average but little else. Stewart at least can fill a few more categories, but he's no guarantee to start 5 games next week. (available on waivers if you can sta...

Best available closers-in-waiting

Yesterday my closer situation was: qualls, motte, percival, lyon, corpas, and ray. In light of the past 24 hours' events (plus a qualls-for-harang trade), i'm in the RP market. Can't quite call it a surprise. I'm wondering who you guys like for solid RPs with closer potential while I wait for a clos...

What a great day. I was sitting on lyon and corpas and just traded away qualls.

round 6 dilemma

12 team, yahoo, h2h, 5x5 standard 8 positions + 1 Util. my strategy is to wait on pitching, get my lineup solid. I have pick 12. here's what i'm looking at: 1-kinsler 2-soriano 3-kemp 4-rios 5-chipper the above leaves me a little short on homers, and uggla and dunn go in round 6. the player would go...
