Re: How do I suceceed in a head to head league?
Sounds like bad luck, really. What's your roster/lineup breakdown like? I.e., how many hitters, bench, SP, RP, etc.? Don't worry, it's a long season, and the beauty of H2H is that you can certainly win the league despite being back in the pack at the A-S break. Obviously, you need more consistency i...

Re: Bryan LaHair
Obviously, the time to trade LaHair has passed...But jeez, look at LaHair's June: .231 /.286/.400 8 runs, 3 HRs, 6 RBI in 65 at-bats..... with 25 strikeouts. Remember all that talk about BABIP? LaHair's June BABIP was .324 So, folks, that's what you get with normal/reasonable luck. LaHair is a solid...

Bryan LaHair
IMO, now is the time to SELL SELL SELL LaHair, even if it gets you 80 cents on today's dollar. He's due for a very steep, very painful regression. He's got 48 strikeouts in 43 games/38 starts, or 137 at-bats -- that's a 175 strikeout pace in only 500 at-bats. Yeah, he's hitting .299, but it's taking...

I am the Good Luck Chuck of waiving players
It seems like whomever I drop gets blessed with the mighty hammer of Mjolnir. I'm in a 12-team mixed league that is as deep as the throat of fat busted girl. The starting lineup features 2 catchers, one 1B, one 2B, one 3B, one SS, one CIF, one MIF, FIVE OFs, two UTIL -- so that's FIFTEEN hitters in ...

Re: What to do about Teixeira?
Absolutely DO NOT SELL TEIXEIRA RIGHT NOW (at least, not for the price of his April). Here are hiis career OPS splits: March/April: .766 in 214 games May: .903 in 244 games June: .899 in 216 games July: .911 in 227 games August: .955 in 252 games September: .946 in 244 games This is a big-sized samp...

Re: Is this really a LAST PLACE team?!
Your offense is holding you back. My guess is that you're registering around 3-5 points in HR and RBI, and maybe 5-7 in BA, 7-9 in runs, 10-11 in SBs. You need some power, bad. 1. Find someone who will (unwittingly) pay a premium for the brand-name value of your outfielders. All 3 guys -- Heyward, M...

Yahoo Fantasy Baseball Transactions Limit for H2H
Someone help me with Yahoo! Fantasy Baseball Rules for Head to Head.... The final week of playoffs, Week 25, runs from Monday to the 2nd Wednesday (10 days). The transactional limit is "6 moves" per week; does that mean 6 moves from Monday-Sunday and another 6 moves from Monday-Wednesday, or ...

Re: Colby Rasmus
I dropped him over a month ago (got stuck with him bc of autopick) and haven't looked back. I never understood the hype. Not much of a ceiling in any category, and clearly the only way he could put up respectable power numbers was by sacrificing a crazy amount of BA points. Heck, in the minors he wa...

Why do you need a backup 3b?
Please give details on your league. Assuming it's a standard league, there's virtually no reason why you need a backup 3b.

Re: brannen boesch-is he for real?
I'm buying Boesch in all leagues he's available. He's entrenched in the 3rd slot, and he's taking full advantage of hitting in front of M. Cabrera. He's hitting well vs. LHP at .333, his BABIP is a reasonable .318, he has just turned 26 and he's hitting in front of an elite bat, and there's no indic...
