Re: Roster help: I've got too many RPs and am weak at 2B/SS.

Hey there ... I'm a Tigers fan as well! I can only play 5 RP unless one has SP eligibility (hence Cashner, who doubles as a stash for later on, if he gets moved into the rotation. I can put him in an SP slot when I don't have two guys starting in hopes of getting a hold, a few Ks, or some ratio help...

I went ahead and dropped Russell for Mujica (that change'll be reflected in the signature shortly). But Id' still appreciate advice on the other questions.
Mauddib: you were looking at the wrong league ... Al Al make sense in that league because it rewards holds.

Roster help: I've got too many RPs and am weak at 2B/SS.

Hello Grey, fellow Razzballers, and my spying league mates (I know who you are!): On the second team below (the one with the 1300-inning cap), I find myself very thin at 2B/SS (no M.I. slot, just 2B and SS)and with too many RPs (saves are very highly valued in this league and I've had success in the...

Re: Safe to drop Salvador Perez for Gattis

I'd be nervous about going with Gattis for the whole season -- it could work out, but the Braves are on fire now and they'll slow down at some point -- and the moment Perez starts hitting he'll disappear. Why not drop Camp and pick up Perez as a bench bat, and if Gattis is doing well when Perez star...

Re: Interesting names on waivers

Thanks Mauddib and Hill O' Beans ... I was thinking of making a switch just to DL Madson, but it turned out to be a moot point: other teams used their waiver priorities to grab both Madson and Wiley and I didn't want to use my No. 2 priority, so I ended up staying put. Thanks a lot for the advice, t...

Interesting names on waivers

Grey and fellow Razzballers ... any advice on any of the questions below? Just drafted the second team below (in the 6x5 league) and am generally happy. I worry about power and averages (BA, ERA, WHIP), though I've learned I should wait a few weeks to act on those determinations. But some names I li...

Re: Lineup help: weaknesses? Needs? Help!

Thanks for the input Mauddib. Morales was a flier, so I'm not counting on much from him but I'm hoping Bonifacio will get me some SBs. Updating my list of available SPs, in addition to Fiers and Hanson, there is Dillon Gee and AJ Griffin. Do you think Fiers is the best of that bunch? I really wish I...

Lineup help: weaknesses? Needs? Help!

The draft for the team below (Those Medlen Kids) was this weekend, and considering I had the second pick I'm not that pleased. Missed Goldschmidt by one pick (so I took AGon) and I am probably at least one SP short with a 1350-inning limit, especially considering I won't start Cashner right away, an...

middle- and late-round keepers

Hello Grey, Razzballers, Please help here ... I'm new to keeper leagues. I'm in a 14-team league that allows two keepers drafted last year only in the 5th round or later with a penalty of one round. Undrafted players cost a 12th round pick (barring anyone from the first four rounds removes most of t...

Re: Trading deadline lineup help

Many thanks Grey -- for the answer and for moving the question (don't know how I ended up in the football section ... I don't even like pro football). Anyway, I realize that AVE is hard to improve upon in a short time and by only changing a player or two. I have since made the Rasmus-EY2 move (refle...
