Re: Need a closer

Fair enough. I'll probably try to upgrade the infield and maybe get a closer thrown in. Thanks.

Need a closer

Just traded Mo and Henry Rodriguez for Justin Upton. Great deal on paper, but it leaves me with just one closer in Casilla and closers net you a lot of points in this league. I'm thinking the obvious thing to do is flip either Bruce, Victorino, or Ortiz for someone. I can't stand the idea of one of ...

Re: Good trade grey?

I'd keep Braun too. Your SP is good enough that you don't need to give up Braun for Hamels. Also, Cozart stole 30 bases in the minors one year, so double digits in homeruns and steals from him wouldn't be that much of a surprise either.

Re: Pettite and Hughes

It should be between Hughes and Freddy Garcia. I think he's expected to be in the majors sometime by mid-May.

1B ponderings

I picked up Helton when Pujols went down and he's been really solid for me. Now that Pujols is back, I'm not sure if I should let go of him or Butler. It seems odd to throw Butler into waiver pool(especially since his tremenous BB/K rate is helpful in this league), but I'm not sure if I could trade ...

Catcher

Is it worth dropping Posada for Iannetta, especially given the apparent recent development with Cashman and Posada? I honestly don't know how Iannetta's still available considering we have OPS and walks.

Re: Liriano - Does he suck?

I have him in another league and he doesn't look great so far, but I found some positives to focus on. He didn't walk anyone and he had 15 groundouts to 2 flyouts today. I'm going to be benching him until further notice, but I'm definitely not giving up on him yet.

Brett Myers

Brett Myers was dropped and cleared waivers in my league and I've been considering dropping Norris for him. I basically have two ways of looking at it. The injuries to Greinke and Ubaldo have absolutely destroyed the reliable depth for my SP. Norris has a higher ceiling, but Myers is probably the sa...

Keepers

I need to select up to 3 hitters to keep in my league. My four best last year were Pujols, Utley, Zimmerman, and Cargo. Pujols and Zimmerman were my definites. Up until Utley's recent woes, I was going to drop my Cargo, but now with the knee issues, I think I'm going to let Utley go instead. A 32 ye...
