been offered Halladay for Wright in my 9 team 6×6 (OPS and K/9) league. I could use the help in ERA and WHIP but Wright has really been carrying me offensively and I’d be stuck plugging his position with something like Freese, Kouzmanoff or Wigginton. Also its a 1250 inning cap, and there’s a lot of decent P talent on the waiver wire (which makes playing the spot-starter game fun and productive but also makes real premium P’s like Halladay even more valuable). Really conflicted on this one…

Ubaldo definitely showed some human aspects in his game though. Giving up two hits to John Lackey, a home run to Darnell McDonald, and two doubles to Daniel Nava.

@7th Place: i could easily see smoak outperforming mcgehee from here on out. even if he doesn't i expect him to not trail mcgehee by too much going forward. so unless you have a glaring hole at 2B/3B then i would view mcgehee/smoak pretty much a wash.

@Cheese: i would just do howad/wright then worry about trying to get zobrist or someone else you want later when maybe you can slip in a good deal without having 1st/2nd round players clouding one's judgments. @and1mcgee: eh most people are just wondering if he's worth picking up off waivers, don't really consider that going nuts. i'd still take him over bay. but that's just me.

Three questions for 10-team H2H league:

1) Offered McGehee and either Peavy or Zito for James Shields. Should I take it? I would likely be dropping Smoak Monster. How do you think McGehee will perform going forward?

2) Current catcher is Santana. Montero, Wieters, and Posey are all on the wire. Should I stick with what I’ve got or pick up one off the wire?

3) Traded Verlander for Reyes early in the season. I too was laughed at for my dealings with Reyes. Is it too early to print out their respective stat sheets and use them as wallpaper for my fellow owners to see?

@Grey: F-Her and J-Ver for Rollins were both denied. Price that big a step down from them in a keeper league that has no time limit on how long you can keep guys? He's gonna throw in Alcides w/ Price for Rollins. I'm in 4th place in a 5x5 10 team with only 3 points combined in ERA + WHIP.

@Cheese: Why are you giving up so many people? What is this trade doing for you? Getting Wright to replace Peralta? Then offer Howard and Slowey. Or Howard and one other small piece. Howard and Wright are essential equal, you shouldn't have to give up so much.
