@IowaCubs: Jose Lopez's average was a bit of an aberration last year. Kelly Johnson top HR and steal year produced 16 and 11 respectively. Felipe Lopez had a year of 23 HRs and another year of 44 steals. The steals have never seemed to be a problem to get 20. The 23 home runs of 2005 seem like an outlier but he can hit home runs in a hitter's ballpark, which Nationals Park was not. In Chase Field, he kills the ball. BTW, there's a brand new fantasy sleeper post I just put up to wig you out even more.

Right when I think I’ve figured everything out, you go and mess everything up with another sleeper.

I’m going to go out on a limb and call Felipe Lopez out for what he is: Mike Fontenot, but without all the power and steals.

Wouldn’t you rather have Kelly Johnson or Jose Lopez late in a draft? They’re both basically Felipe but with better avg.

Sheesh. What a morning – and it’s only just gone 7.
Grey – any thoughts of doing something like “Grey’s 10 Cardinal Rules of Drafting”? ie thou shalt not take a starting pitcher before round 10 – that kind of shizz.
Would also be interesting to know what, as a rule, you’re trying to achieve round by round.
I know every draft is different and you don’t how each will unfold but I for one would find it this Grey’s Anatomy (groan) really useful.

@Red Sox Talk: I said he could. I wouldn't project him at 20/20. Sorry if that's not clear. For instance, Adam Dunn could hit 50 HRs, I'd project him at 40 cause that's what he hits every single year. Felipe Lopez I'd project at about 14/20, but that could turn into 20/20.

Hey Grey, I’m sorry but I just can’t agree with you on Lopez. I have him as a .279-78-10-50-27 performer this year (haven’t done the park adjustment yet). Not bad for someone who likely won’t be drafted, but 20/20?

Tampa Bay will enjoy a good year from Price. I also like Matt Joyce, maybe not so much this year, but he’ll be pretty good in 2010-11.

re: Matt Joyce. He will be on my radar. He’s a tiny monster. He donks in bunches.

I’d stay away from Edwin Jackson, though. The Rays know arms, and when they smelt him, they dealt him.
