@Ashley: I like Zimmerman better, but I think you might be able to wait on him a little bit. Then again, I don’t know your league’s keepers as well as you.

He’s Soriano’s doppelganger. Looks like him, quick wrists like him and lies about his age. Separated at birth, I tell ya.

I like Iannetta too.

I like Adrian better as a player, but Youkilis plays in a better park and is in a better lineup… So it’s going to be a tough decision, but I have a month to figure it out.

If Chris Davis isn’t available for my 13th pick.. Who would you pick between Atkins and Zimmerman? Huff is also out there, I had him last year but can’t say I’m a believer.

With Braun, Hamilton, and Quentin I have plenty of power so I feel like Ellsbury would be the perfect addition.

And I know nothing about Alexie other than the fact he hits a lot of homeruns, but is he basically Alfonso Soriano’s twin?

I’m going to target Chris Iannetta for my catcher and if I get all the guys I’m going after, I think I should have a pretty balance offense.

I really like Youuuuk, but I think Adrian Gonzalez is slightly better. It’s splitting hairs a bit, so if you really like Youuuuk, go for it. I’ll make my case anyway.

Gonzalez’s 2009 Projections: 85/34/95/.280

Youuuk’s 2009 Projections: 95/25/110/.295

Gonzalez will give more power and that’s what you want from a 1st baseman. His average won’t kill you and he’s only going to be 27 this year, i.e., he’s getting better.

Youuuk will be thirty and I don’t see his power developing that much more. Obviously his team will give him more Runs and RBIs and he’s better at average.

Because of the power and bit of upside, I like A-Gonz slightly more.

The rest of the choices are spot on. I do believe in C. Davis, Alexei and Ellsbury.

My 5 keepers are Ian Kinsler, Ryan Braun, Josh Hamilton, Carlos Quentin, and Tim Lincecum. 10 team H2H league, standard settings.

When I’m talking about the draft rounds, I’m not including the first 5 rounds since those are our keepers. So when I say 1st round, that’s actually the 6th round but it’s the 1st round we’ll be drafting new players.

I have the #3 pick in the 1st round that I got last season for Jason Bay.

Last night I traded Tim Lincecum and my 5th round pick for Roy Halladay and the #4 pick in the 1st round. (I hope you don’t think that’s stupid, but I think pitchers are kinda overrated and Halladay had 200 k’s and 20 wins last year).

And I have the #8 pick. So I have the #3, #4, #8, #13 picks.

The guy with the #1 pick is going to take Brandon Phillips.

Don’t know who #2 is taking.

I would like to take care of 1B, SS, 3B, and my final OF/Util before I get into pitching because there’s so much pitching available.

The top pitchers available are Haren, Liriano, Beckett, Felix, Ervin Santana, Cliff Lee, Harden, and the list goes on forever.

So can you please tell me what you think about the players I’m targetting and your advice as to the best way to get them. Some people seem to love Youkilis and some people think last year was flukey.
