Hey Mike -
I’m going to have to vote no on this trade. I think Gagne still has some value while Lyon seems like a lost cause. But those aside, this is a three for two. Sizemore is more valuable than Hafner (espec. if Hafner doesn’t have 1B elig.). But Oswalt is more valuable than Johnny Cueto – enough that I don’t think i’d make that trade 2 for 2. Throw in Weeks and the small value from the closers, and I’d say it’s too much.

If you really liked Grady and Cueto, I’d re-propose the trade without Weeks. Still don’t love it but much closer to even…

Ok, so i got offered Grady Sizemore and Johnny Cueto for Hafner,Weeks,Oswalt,Gagne and Brandon Lyon……..I kno im giving up a good amount but my only offensive starter in the trade is Hafner and Oswalt isnt what he used to be, also my 2nd,3rd,4th,5th,6th and 7th starters(POSTED MY TEAM ABOVE) i feel are good enough to keep me in the pitching categories. As for Gagne and Lyon, who needs them neway? With Sizemore in my lineup i think my offense will be unstoppable…..any thoughts?

Im in a 5×5 format…. i had the 10th pick. I tried not to worry about position needs on my team until after round 6-7 and i think taking the best player available was the way to go in a 2Util league. Im still a little worried about Encarnacion but i figure he cant kill me. Thanks for taking the time….best fantasy baseball site around in my opinion. Thanks again

Hey Mike -
Not sure what format you’re playing but your team looks stacked. I’m not sure how you managed to get Howard, Crawford, Rios, Berkman, Markakis, and Hafner in the first 6 rounds but it’s quite the bounty. The first four were off the board by my 3rd round pick in my expert league draft and the other two weren’t there by my 5th round pick.

And then you still end up with Kinsler and some decent starters?

I’d say your league mates need this site more than you…
