I need two Keepers, I have Fielder then either Holliday, Pence or Verlander. No way Pence is worth keeping, and if you have him over Holliday I guess Verlander is the choice?

Ryan Braun Wins Appeal, Will Not Be Suspended

Ryan Braun has won his appeal of his failed drug test and will not be suspended for the first 50 games of the season, reports Tom Haudricourt of The Journal Sentinel (Twitter links). The union officially announced the win, saying both parties agreed to the announcement despite what is usually a confidential process. The reigning NL MVP is the first player to have a suspended overtuned through the appeals process.

Any thoughts to becoming one of the expert rankers at the link below? Not sure if you can just call yourself a “pert” and ask to be part of it, but it would be nice to sort by the stache and see your rankings alongside the upcoming ADP data they’ll have there so I’ll no when to take a razzball preferred player just ahead of where my ESPN/CBS leaguemates are hoping to take that player.

Pence (5th)
Stanton (6th)
Chacin (14th)
Ike Davis (18th)

Basically just asking Chacin in the 14th or Ike in the 18th

Also, I currently have 2nd pick but I really want longoria do you suggest trading down to get him in snake draft second round?

PS. I meant #4 through 11. And I’m including Wright and not Beltre because Wright carries the same risk that I’m talking about:

Wright (injury/performance)
Sandoval (2010 performance)
Zimmerman (INJURY)
Lawrie (pretty much a rookie)
Arod (age/injury)
Aramis (age/injury/Wrigley splits)
Youk (injury)
M Young (age)

I have little to no clue how that group shakes out.

I think what Berry means is that there is a very large tier of more or less interchangeable 3B after Bautista, Longoria, and Beltre are off the board. There really isn’t much of a dropoff from #4 through #10 so you can wait on 3b.

It seems like every website has those 7 players ranked differently, and I wouldn’t be surprised at all if they finished in any given order. The problem is that they all carry big risk. I see half of them performing to expectations and half falling off the map, but I couldn’t tell you which is which. So, imo, if you miss out on the top 3, your best bet at 3rd is just to wait until the end of that tier and hope that you ended up with one of the ones that perform.

@Grey: Keeper question…5×5 standard roto, I get three 3-year keepers and one 1-year keeper. Not gonna get into the details, but the only player I’m currently locked into right now is the 2nd year of McCutchen. I figure it’s also a given that’ll I’ll be locking up Verlander on a 3 year deal.

Who would be your other 2 keepers from this list (please designate the 1 year keeper):

Beltre, Victorino, Castro, Berkman, Carpenter, and Beachy.
