Am I giving up way too much on this one? I tend to agree with SaltyBiscuits’ analysis about the deal. Can I get yours? Are you not as high on Johan as I am for the 2nd half?

I think it goes like this:

Greinke > Duchscherer especially in our league which counts K/9

A-Ram > Guillen (Guillen’s big positive is his eligibility for me (1B-3B-SS)

Johan + Youk > Teix (There is a fall off with going to Youk, no doubt, I think Johan makes up for it with what he can provide me in pitching categories)

What about Liriano? Is he around? Campillo? Wandy?

Loney’s September last year was a huge reason I won my league, any chance he can do that again?

I would do it. Johan is about to go on a tear, and Greinke would give you good staff depth (probably be equal in value to Duch from here on out). Your lineup without Tex and Aramis isn’t weak at all.

He’s offering me Johan Santana, Youkilis, and Carlos Guillen. The 4th player he wants to give is Yunel Escobar. I’d rather him replace Escobar with Greinke or Jered Weaver.

I can’t keep Teixeira because of a rule in our league in which if you have two guys in the same round, if you wish to keep them both, you have to give up the round below or the player in that spot. My situation is that I drafted Holliday in round 3 in 2007 and I recently acquired Sizemore in a trade who was also a 3rd rounder. So to keep them both, I have to let Teixeira go.

If I acquired Johan, he would be joining my staff of Lincecum, Billingsley, Lackey, Ervin Santana, Scott Baker, and Matt Garza.

My lineup without Aramis and Tex would look like:

C: Doumit
1B: Youkilis
2B: Cano
SS: Alexei Ramirez
3B: Longoria

Thinking of trading one of my outfielders and Valverde for a stud pitcher and Harang (I think he has some strong starts down the stretch).

Which outfielder should I move? Magglio, Vlad, McLouth ( I lean towards Vlad ).

Which ace should I target? Kazmir, Dempster, Harden

Guillen, Jones, Swisher, Butler & Juan. But really, I feel like these are all extremely streaky crapshoot players.
