Grey, what round would you think about Sandoval? I have this dream, I am drafting and I get Howard/Tex/Miggy in the first round, Tulo in the second, Sandoval in the third, and Cano in the fourth.
Is third round too early for Tae-Bo Panda?
I know what you are saying but; I feel as if I can get some nice/great value in the outfield starting round 7 or so. Would an OF of Bruce, Hunter Pence and Adam Jones be that bad to start with? Gotta be better than some of those shleptards I would end up with in the IF.

Question:

I get second pick in the first three rounds of this years keeper draft (5X5 roto, 10 teams). If I have Tulo as a keeper SS, but no 2nd baseman, should I take Utley over Hanley? It looks like Kinsler, Phillips, Roberts, Pedroia, Hill, and Cano will all be kept by other teams.

@Grey: Am considering, discounting Holliday a bit. He had ONE steal for the months of Aug and Sep--total. STL ranks about 25 in team steals. Not sure LaRusskie unleashes him. Having trouble seeing him get 5 SB, much less the 15 originally targeted. What do you think?

Would you substitute Kinsler for Kemp as a keeper with Tex and Braun already in the mix?

If Stewart is my starting 3b on any team I draft, I’m dead. I’ll take him as a 2b only.

Adrian Beltre with better stats than Aramis is hilarious.

Chris Davis could be a real bargain. Yahoo has him buried so deep in their rankings you have to look pretty hard to find him. He’s not as much of a bargain on ESPN though.

@Grey: hi, question on your pitchers pairing. I think a SP from the verlander tier might fall to end of rd 5. I was considering drafting the upper half of the next tier in rd 6 on the way back if the right player fell. You warned not to "reach" for the next tier, would you consider that reaching? ( for a josh johnson, lee, hamels, or jimenez). I do not think that theyd be there for me in rd7. dilemma: if players in lind tier + granderson are avail in rd 5 or if adam jones is avail in 6 would you take them as OF2 or solidify SP1 and SP2 with the aforementioned strategy....thanks again; have a draft early next week

For anyone: First time doing an auction league. Is it a rule that you have to leave a draft with a full team? (i.e. rather than waiting to fill your squad with FAs if you run out of money) Do most sites have an automatic stopgap built in to prevent you from running out of money? @Steve: With that setup, I'd draft 2-3 closers, one MR and the rest SPs, while keeping an eye for MRs on waivers and switching them out with SPs. @Mickey: Beltre adds in 10 steals which accounts for the loss on average. @Tom Reale: I'd keep Roberts for now, but watch for news, though I'm not sure when you have to decide by. If sooner vs. later, I'd just keep Abreu. Though not crazy about him either. Though II, Abreu does beat Roberts at OPS. @Quinn: Standard BS
