As to Johan Santana someone said on the podcast he’s more of a “3.5 ERA guy with good WHIP.” Thing is, he’s never had a ERA over 3.33 in any season in his career besides the first 2 (where he had 9 starts total). He has a career 3.08 ERA and his highest was 3.33 in 2007, his next highest was 3.13 in 2009. He’s been great fantasy this year because of resurgence of SO’s, but he’s always been elite in the ERA department.
