byrd takes ball 4 , but andrus gets caught stealing 3rd ,
even before byrd leaves the batters box .
so they make the guy walk down and touch 1st base .
(this according to cbs’ recap of today’s game)

@cheeeeeeeeeeeeeze@Grey: : Respectfully, think you want to re-think Kinsler/Prado. Kinsler just came off series at home against Sea and Laa and slugged a combined .333 (at home). He is facing an average era of 3.40. Prado slugged combined .557 against Fla (the toughest) and Was (he killed) and is facing average era of 4.77. Plus, Prado gets one more game. This could go the other way, but tea leaves point to Prado for me.

One good thing about being absolutely destroyed 18-3 is that I would have lost no matter what I did heh. I just hope his guys are spent for next week. I do not want this guy to win again.

Here’s the issue. I’m +4 on wins and will have +1 or 2 starts over my opponent this week. I am currently -1 in Ks and +1 in saves. My opponent and I both have staffs that K a lot of people (we’ve been #1 and #2 in the roto all season for Ks [however, he has Josh Johnson, who might be done for the season?]). He owns the Aardsma and Broxton, no other closers to start. Question is…

Do I run three closers out there this week (all are top 15 guys, no slouches)

do I start Bills @SD, Nolasco @ATL, or Ubaldo @LA in place of that third closer?

@GTS: Ubaldo's been beat up pretty badly by the Dodgers this year, and the same with Nolasco, I'd sit them if you can't take the risk.

What do you think about starting Nolasco @ ATL or Jimenez @ LA? I’m in a daily lineup league so I might bench both of those guys. I’m already going to drop Baker because of his matchup @ DET and pick up Wade Davis.

Remember like, 10 hours ago when I ranted about losing my league because of my closers? Fernando Rodney and his 0.1 IP, 81.82 ERA and 9.09 WHIP did not help. Dropping all closers does worry me because not many guys are still playing and #1 guy could move up a point or two (with no risk of ERA/WHIP losses).

@Grey: Yeah – when him and Wolf were two of my last four starts for the year, it’s a bit hard to take.

On the bright side, George of the Roses eeked out a win. Loaded the bases twice for Albert and only gave up 3. I think you have to consider that a pretty good result.

These things are relative in the Kingdom of Albert.
