If in the first week of last season someone had offered Mark Trumbo for Adam Dunn, that might have seemed like a rip-off. End of season, not so much.

It’s always more fun to play in a league with people of roughly equal knowledge/expertise/level of participation. But assuming you always know better than your sadsack leaguemates what constitutes a fair trade is far more patronizing to them than making the trades in the first place. People are in the game to play the game, not to be protected from themselves by other people.

eventually , the “fish” won’t return .
in keeper or dynasty leagues , you’re , then , left continually searching for replacement owner(s) willing to take over bottom-dwelling team that have been raped by “astute” owners or just mismanaged out of neglect .

call me “old school” , “out-of-step” or whatever , but i believe that :
a) a handshake is a handshake ,
b) a man is as good as his word , and ,
c) trades , at the out-set , should be fair for both parties .

anything less , i find unscrupulous ,
and will try and dis-associate myself from the situation .

True story, I wrote that article and the WGA asked me how much? Nothing, I offered, happy to help poor struggling writers with some free advice. “Writer don’t write for free”, they said and sent me a $1000. That was before firejoemorgan.com and razzball.com proved otherwise.

So no bummer at all. I know what you mean about a lot of it being weak. I’m just in flagpole mode right now… if something clicks for me, I’ll put more effort (and editing) into it. Thanks again.
