He's not a HOF'er, he falls short.

But think about it from a fantasy standpoint, not true MLB value - 6 seasons of 30+ hr, half of which came back when it meant something. 6 seasons of 96+ RBI, one of them a whopping 142. He was also at or above league average in batting 10 times, meaning he doesn't kill you like an Adam Dunn used to.

He's clearly a very valuable CI in the world of fantasy.

I may have to have a special section for those with service time prior to the 80's. Reggie is no where near induction having had just two good seasons in the 1980's.

Grey is going to cry if/when Reggie Jackson doesn't make the FBHOF. Reggie was the straw that stirred Grey's drink in the 80's....

That 33.7 for Beltre is the sum of his 5 best years. His 2004 year score is 13.7, a very good figure. It was 3rd in the league behind Vlad and Pujols. Unfortunately for him though, no other year even gets 7 points.

BTW, in all seriousness, how is Beltre's 04 only a 33.7?

@Lou: First the Grich slight, now Doug DeCinces barely makes the list?! How dare you, sir?

Can you tell I was an Angels fan in the mid-80s?

Pedro Guerrero is a Hall of Famer in my book based on his performance in this. He's first shown at the 1:07 mark
