I feel like I’m bad luck. I was at the gym and missed the first 3 innings of the game. I stopped by my boyfriend’s on the way home and he said Hanson was amazing, struck out the side in the 3rd inning, no hits allowed so far. And of course as soon as I start watching, he starts sucking. He had really good stuff though.. He got ahead of pretty much every batter, he was just struggling to put them away once he got 2 strikes on them.

Braun’s 2nd homerun wasn’t a bad pitch by Hanson, it was a 96 mph fastball high and outside with 2 strikes, but Braun is just a good hitter and took it opposite field.

Soooo.. I’ll be patient with him. He hit 97 mph, and his curveball looked great. The nerves probably got to him. He’ll be fine with a little experience.

How would you rank Josh Outman, Jeff Niemann, and Nick Blackburn for the rest of the season? I want to add one, but I’m not sure which one.

And should I also drop Nolasco for the 2nd best of those 3?

If you’re in a daily league and are using all of those SP’s, maybe you can explore trades, but it’s hard to advise on trades without seeing the who’s who.

But right now I’m at +100 IP with a staff of 9 pitchers I really like in an 11-teamer. Beckett, Cain, Oswalt, Weaver, Liriano, Hanson, Jackson, Vazquez, Romero (DL). With the implosion of Qualls, its possible I never earn another save and the Vulture-Saves is not working this year. I’ve got Qualls, Hawkins and Howell. I could probably drop Howell for CJ Wilson or Pena (and I will) but should I dangle a SP for an RP?

Based on your “sell high”, Cain would be my pick to sell with the most value.

1. Is this the play for me or do I wait and keep vulturing (5 in saves right now)
2. If it is the play, give me some RP targets.
