With a 2 fo’5 evening, Stephen Drew avoided an extreme case of Ticker Tease, but did give us a more than mild rash as he recorded 1 Rbi & 0 Runs as the D-Backs recorded 11. You know most things Grey, do you think that his child will be born while DBacks are Home so that he doesn’t miss any more time, and maybe relax & recall what it’s like to be productive? Or can we expect three friggin’ days off as he straps on a male nursing apparatus? OR, are any of Kendrick, Guzman, Stewart, Aybar, Nix, Ellis, or Everth C. better options going forward? Thanks

just read the LIND/HILL post….

I scouted aaron hill and took him with my last pick overall in the 2008 draft, he had i believe around 40 some doubles in 2007, total sleeper, then of course he gets the concussion… this year i fall into CANO in the 14th round so i didn’t look at HILL, although i knew he was there, then my one buddy wants to deal Howie K. so i said, dude deal him while he’s hot and grab HILL….. ( STUPID STUPID STUPID)

anyways, HILL is the RILL DILL, he was up and coming til that concussion and i think he’s back on that track…. people just didn’t notice bc he was hiding for a year…

LINDS quietly put together a solid season, so you think 3rd round next year would be MONEY for him grey?

@aj: Was interesting. Thanks for pointing it out. So at 28 his homers will turn back to doubles? Usually doesn't work that way. I'll probably project him for about 27 homers next year. Not 30+ which is what he'll end up with, but I don't think he suddenly becomes an 17 to 20 homer hitter next year, barring injury.

except for what happens after they actually pick up the ball ,
i’m not so sure that ryan braun is really any better defensively , out there in left field , than clowny ramirez .

True….I guess. He’s my favorite player. He was also hurt so you have to account for that. Going into the season I saw him doing this:

.265 / 31hr / 30sb / 100 runs / 100 rbi

@spencer: I'm not a Kinsler fan because of the cost. One's got to pay an arm/leg for a guy whose production disappears for long stretches of the season (through injury or just hitting .220). At that price I like more of a sure thing.

Losing Nyjer this time of year is brutal. I picked him up just after he was traded and it’s been a great ride. Drop him for Borbon? Luis Castillo? Angel Pagan? Eric Young? While depth at 2B is a luxury for off-days, position eligibility isn’t a factor.

OK, who am I picking up to replace Nyjer as my Utility/4th OF in a H2H- Travis Snider, Marlon Byrd, David DeJesus, Will Venable, Angel Pagan, or Matt Diaz.

Already have half-way decent speed on my team between Kemp, Hanley and Kinsler, so I’m just looking for the best overall option.

A bunch of schmohawks indeed.

I am not trying to be a dick hole but I am glad I didn’t take your Garrett Jones frustration very seriously. A slump was inevitable but the talent is obviously there, nobody should have cut him. Just bench him against lefties if you can afford a platoon.
