In a 12 team…6X6 keeper league with doubles and quality starts as the extra categories and each team keeps 5…would you trade:

BJ Upton for Jon Lester?

I would get Lester in the deal and my other keepers are Braun, Teix, JRoll, and Cano.

@GopherDay: Pujols seems fine, but Zimmerman and Sizemore both K a lot. I'd lose one of them. I'd consider Mauer in the 2nd if he's still there since he doesn't K at all or Rollins. You can grab Zimmerman or Sizemore too. @David: Any of them are worthy... I'd take them Cano, Lester then Lind, in that order, if you've already taken an OF. @mrbaseball: A UFO? Ha! @mrbaseball: No, you're not crazy to go with Hanley first if that's how it plays out. @Barker: Don't you love leagues that you have to reach for DeRosa in? Yeah, 20 teams are tough. I did a 20 team recently and I think I like your team better than mine. A few picks I'd shy away from -- Dice K, Ellis, Hideki -- But in that deep of league, it's a good team. If Vazquez and Cuddyer can approach last year's production, you should be in the hunt. Maybe you can flip a closer for a piece in May. Looks good though. @martin: Votto is worth more than A-Gon if he does what he's capable of. When a guy has never done it vs. a guy that has three years in a row. It's good to side with the known. But Votto's capable, for sure. re: Mayberry Method -- It's something that should be intuitive. Don't see why it needs a name. It's like saying the Water Drinking To Stay Alive method. But, yeah, it's good to have balanced players. It's why sometimes I look at teams and say, "You have speed on one side and power on another." You're much better with CarGo and Kemp than Dunn and Bourn. EDIT: Word.

If the meyberry method has any truth to it, mabye players like votto who can potentially run are worth more then players like adrian gonzalez who dont.

@grey- what do you think of the meyberry method? From what i have read, it seems to me that it favors players who are decent at everything, etc carlos gonzalez. Since players are ranked on a 1-5 scale, guys who dont steal bases at all are already put at a huge disadvantage.
