I like Barmes. He can play all 3 IF positions (for yahoo anyway), and a .275 15 10 sort of season is doable if he keeps his job long enough for 475 ABs.

@Grey: O it was a legit team thats how I was able to get Utley with the 26th pick. Almost had a heart attack when i saw him there. @big o: I made a topic in the forums to post teams for that league vinko got his roster in there already. If you cant get your roster in there let me know and i will post it for ya it will honestly take about 1 min.

@Grey: thanks for the link back to 2nd basemen .... i was looking back through the SS articles . you see what you're working with here , don't you ? the 2B article was 4 days ago !! (talk about short-term memory loss) . it's true about the lebowski guy. i had the 10th pick and went : hamilton , fielder , roberts , & ellsbury . wanted to post my team to the forum , for your analysis , but forgot how to copy and paste (again) . @Eric W: knew you were in there , but couldn't find you during the draft . matters were complicated , 'cuz i had to use wife's lap-top . couldn't figure out how to get yahoo draft room to fit on my screen , so it was all i could do to get my picks in on time . @Grey: the up-start of the lebowski's strategy was that it made me feel compelled to reach for pablo in the 9th . well , that and knowing captain caveman was behind me , ready to snipe .

@Baron Von Vulturewins: No fear, BVV! He was psyched out by RFK and being with the Gnats. He hit 20+HRs in a hitter's park and stole 40+ steals in pitcher's park. If he can just find a balance like Atomsphere, he's golden. Great late round sleeper. Great!

@Baron Von Vulturewins: Wieters will not come up before mid-May unless they sign him to a long-term contract (like TB did with Longoria). By keeping him down until then, they control him for 3 years before arbitration. The ‘Super 2 rules’ allow the top 17% with at least 2 years of service time to receive arbitration eligibility. The exact amount of service time varies from year-to-year, but has been as low as 128 days and as high as 140 days although the number is usually 130-135. 1 year of team control vs. arbitration is somewhere in the neighborhood of $5-7MM I think.

Wow, I thought the 2Bmen were depressing... Then again, my league doesn't require MI/CI, so I don't have to worry about monitoring the 38th best SS. @big o: Lopez has been discussed previously, but the summary is: Yes. He's a good target. Has tons of eligibility in Yahoo! and could be leading off for AZ, which makes 100/12/20 a not unreasonable projection.

a-rod fell to #8 in this 14 team league … (5×5)

The Big Lebowski (1st pick) went : hanley / c.c. / crawford , and then followed that up with ==> martin / soto / vmart (4,5,6) and topped it off with bengie in round 12 .

deviating from normal roster set-ups , this one featured one catcher , 3 OF’s , and 3 Util (no CI , no MI) .

is it one of those “if you can’t say something nice about someone” things , or does felipe lopez actually have some promise , leading off for the diamondbacks ?
i’m not counting on much in the way of power numbers , but i think they’re going to run him …. and it appears as if they’re just handing him the job .
is there any hope here , or should i have just gone with theriot …. (who seemed to tail off last year) …. in last night’s draft for the couchmanagers’ league ?
