Plus, the only reason why Tampa hasn’t called him up is because they don’t have too. I think he has reached his glass ceiling in AAA is because he has shown what type of pitcher he is – 8 K/9, about 3 BB/9 and a whip near 1.25 to 1.33 is what I would expect in the pros.

Also, the Morneau comparison is solely hitting, Wallace is most definitely not in Morneau’s league.

Like you said, the stats trend suggests that Davis is matured and ready, but reach his limit in AAA. Not necessarily his celling, because no one knows what will happen when he arrives in Tampa. Guess that kills his “sexy appealing” as a “prospect”…

Justin Morneau is a lovely comparison to Brett Wallace, and it’s certainly helpful.
