Other guy has a lot of hitters on his bench so it’s tough to identify his needs. Might try another tack – he only has one closer (Valverde) so what about Renteria (who is starting to heat up by the looks) plus Riviera/Saito/izzy/Street?

As for keeping 2, i kinda have to. Cain and Oswalt have been miserable at the back end of my rotation, so i need the depth. Cain I assume will rebound, but Oswalt is a really tough play right now.

and McGowan has disappointed.

I would choose Jurrjens and Baker to own. Then Santana then Kuroda.

@Cory – Do you have to keep 2? I’d want none. I guess I’d go with Kuroda and Jurjjens just b/c they are NL. But I don’t have anyone that bad on any of my staffs aside from maybe Phil Hughes (hoping he turns it around…)

As for Howard, im concerned by the shift the defenses are using. Have they always done this or does it directly coincide with his sharp drop in avg? The entire 3b side is open… I think i want to trade him now after seeing that, and change my vote in NL MVP to Holliday.

Lastly, Baker, Kuroda, Jurjjens and Ervin Santana. Which 2 to own? Right now its Ervin and Kuroda, the 2 most would put last, but i like Ervin at home and for some odd reason, Kuroda. Kuroda is prob gonna be cut. What do u all think?

i added some conscience into the trade b/c he said the other guy is a newbie. it’s been forever, though, since i’ve been able to pull off a bullshit trade (my infamous ryan freel / kevin mench for jose reyes trade of 2006)…

@Steve: I feel like if the owner’s willing to trade the guys to me, I’ll take them. Not sure why people feel bad for getting the better end of a trade. So I’d do the trade, you said. All of Rudy’s trade options are also good, especially J-Bay. OH MY GOD, imagine getting Rollins for J-Bay? That would be sick. And by sick I mean really healthy. Then again, if I were in that league I’d think J-Roll for J-Bay was more lopsided than for Renteria and Hawpe.

Talking about Howard….does the coaching staff actually talk to this guy about adjustments or what pitch to look for in a certain situation? He looks soooo overmatched sometimes whiffing at pitches. He just swings and hopes he hit its out. Really frustrating. I assume he will eventually break out of this slump but jeeze this guy is a pro ball player, why can’t he make adjustments now and wtf is the hitting coach doing this whole time to help him? ARGHHHHHHH! Now where’s that damn Zoloft?
