The Rank Railheads (RCL 40) have stretched their lead in the Master Standings to 5 points, thanks to an unbelievable 119 league points. The Railheads stole 12 bases this week to take over the lead in that category, paced by B.J. Upton, Aaron Hill, and Will Venable, who each had 3 steals. They are now scoring 12 points in all categories except runs, where they are too far behind to have a chance at a perfect season.

MattTruss223 (Rube Waddell’s Shiny Objects — Magnificent Mustachioed Men) moved up a couple of spots to 6th, while The Groomingdales (RCL 22) jumped 16 spots to 7th with 105 points. Higgins (Gobias Industries — Cust Kayin’) and Atomic (Wood Street Wonders — RCL 46) also sit at 105, while royce! (That’s Not Very Maybin — Original Recipe), Joba’s Trampoline (RCL 41), and Bay City Rollers (Go Big or Go Home) all have 104 points.

Expert League: Razzball had its best week of the season, with Rudy moving into second place with a 5-and-a-half point gain, while  Grey pulled to within a half point of fifth place Scott Pianowski (Karma Police), jumping 8.5 points to 76.5. Ryan Carey (Mastersball Carey) held the lead for another week, 2  up on Rudy. Tim Dierkes (P.F. Flyer) dropped to third, another half-point back. 4th place  Dalton Del Don (RotoWire Del Don) is also still in the running, sitting just 5 out of first. Rudy once again had an impressive pitching line, including 10 wins and 6 saves, led by Zack Greinke (2 Wins/11 K/1.93/0.86). Grey was King of SAGNOF with 15 steals and 12 saves.

Rex Brothers, Where art thou? (Yu Ain’t Goldschmidt), were the best offensive team, hitting .355 with 19 home runs and 59 RBI, 60 runs, and 13 stolen bases. Adam LaRoche (.444/5 HR) and Jay Bruce (.500/4 HR) led the way, with nice contributions from Aaron Hill (.308/5 Runs/2 HR/5 RBI/3 SB), Joe Mauer (.350/6 Runs), Logan Forsythe (.381/5 Runs/1 HR/4 RBI/1 SB), Jose Reyes (8 RBI/3 SB), Jon Jay (.462), Bryce Harper (.360/8 Runs/3 HR), and Adam Jones (.393/7 Runs/3 HR/6 RBI/1 SB) rounding out the offense.

Kris Medlen paced the Wonders with 2 wins, 15 strikeouts, and ratios of 1.20 and 0.73. Chris Sale (6 IP/1 ER/6 K), A.J. Griffin (5.1 IP/1 ER/7 K), and Mat Latos (7 IP/1 ER/6 K) also picked up victories. Max Scherzer added a 9-strikeout game. Craig Kimbrel won 1 and saved 3 while striking out 10 in 4 and a third innings. Colicky Fuddruckers (Matthew Berry Is A Tool) led all teams with 19 decisions (10 Wins/9 Saves) and 94 Ks.

A ray of light shone on Grey’s forgettable season as he jumped 91 spots to 165th in the overall standings. Pitching continued to be the team’s strength, but this week the batters pulled their weight, except in the RBI category. Mark Reynolds hit 5 home runs and drove in 10 to do his part. Giancarlo Stanton hit 4 homers, but had only 5 RBI. Aramis Ramirez hit .368 with but 1 RBI. Aaron Hill and Ben Revere each hit .308, and combined for 8 RBI and 8 steals. Jon Jay (.462) and Adam Eaton (.400) helped in the average category. Kris Medlen and Gio Gonzalez were Grey’s top starters, with John Axford (4 saves), and Brandon League (1 Win/1 Save) leading the bullpen. Tom Wilhelmsen, Steve Cishek, and Luke Gregerson each added 2 saves.
