Vin, sorry it took so long for me to make a comment, but I have been a bit behind in my Razzball reading.

First of all, another great job. However….

After last week’s 19 trades, the wheeler-dealers rested. Just 6 exchanges involving 18 players this week, highlighted by Uncle Robbies Daffiness Boys dumping the slumping Howie Kendrick in the ECFBL for the excitement of Eric Hosmer!

That happens to be a trade between my lovely wife and myself:) She pestered me to allow her to drop Hosmer, but I wouldn’t let her, after reading the SI article on him portraying him as the stud of the century, or something like that. So we worked out a deal. When “The Hos” starts rolling, you will sing a different tale! Actually, I am in 11th place, ranking 522 in the current update, so I am frankly desparate.

And no kudoos for the ECFBL, which ONCE AGAIN RESIDES IN FIRST PLACE AMONGST THE LEAGUES!

@beardcrabs, 46 starts would be right on pace for 180 at the end of the year. Not important to stay right there, as long as you know where you are and don’t fall too far behind.

@Dave, Yeah, that’s tough. I was just trying to figure out why my league had a low index. Part of it is IP. Your league has the lowest total of innings while RCL 9 has the most. Some of this will even out as some teams reach the Games Started limit early, but also some teams in your league will have to pick up the pace. You really need at least 10 teams working hard at grabbing free agents to increase league stats as a whole.

Unfortunately, by luck of the draw, some leagues will be lagging and not have managers willing to do what is necessary. Of course, my league seems to be working at it. Maybe we’re just making bad decisions.

What can I do to try to help me league index better? I’m winning my league, but it’s indexed the worst and it’s actually costing me points in the overall standings? Any ideas?
