@AtLBravo!, Personally, I would take Stubbs over Goldschmidt, but seriously, I’m not an expert. Grey did put Reimold in a “possible top 20 OF” tier this spring, so that could be the upside play.

Love the blog, big fan. Anyways, I feel like I have 1B locked down with Goldschimdt, Votto, and Lind. I am wondering if since I need some OF help if I should pick up Brennan Boesch, Drew Stubbs or Peter Bourjeous? Would it makes sense to drop Lind, and pick up one of the above? Or am I underselling Lind’s potential in a contract year? Thanks. (10 team H2H league, 21 categories)

@Wake Up, Ah, it’s just something I like to complain about. Just adds some time to updating the standings. I can tell what league I’m dealing with, so I’m not searching through 576 teams or anything. Later in the season I expect teams will have settled on a name. Thanks for the idea. I was just letting people know that their actions have consequences. For me!

That incredible week of 0.73 WHIP dragged my team out of last place in the category….all the way to 9th with a sorta solid 1.30 WHIP! Too bad my team still has the league worst ERA at 4.63

@VinWins, I was the one that asked Grey previously. In my case it was because of the same things as above, plus, the manager actually told me he “wasn’t even participating in this league”. Which just annoys me to no end that you would sign up for a league and then from day 1 decide you aren’t going to bother playing in it.

@BucLover, Well, as Chris explained ratios are just the non-counting stats, so that just leaves the trade. I agonize over trades all the time (even after I’ve made an offer, I keep thinking I shouldn’t have) so you seek better advice elsewhere. For myself, I would stick with what you have. Good luck,

His ratios are his ERA/WHIP (as they aren’t direct counting stats).

You didn’t ask for my opinion on the trade, but I personally don’t think there’s a great match here. I suppose Gordon might be an upgrade over getting Stubbs, but you’re looking pretty good in the OF anyway. If he’s desperate, maybe he’d be willing to up Uggla? (even if not 1 for 1.)

RCL rules question… Can i kick-out an owner who isn’t managing his team? He’s made no moves and isn’t updating his DL players or rotating through his starting pitchers. Also not responding to emails. I’d like to find a new owner to keep the league competitive. Any objection?

Hey Vin, I am in a Yahoo Pro League – 12 team rottisserie and a fella is offering me Delmon Young and Drew Stubbs for Jordan Zimmermann. I declined the trade and told him I coveted Zimmermann and didn’t want the avg. drain that Stubbs offers up. Delmon is Delmon…to me, he’s one step away from waiver wire grade. Here is the reply I got back …. “I need ratio help so that is why I proposed Zimmerman. It looks like you are strong in ratio and I am strong on offense so I thought there might be something worth looking at between our two teams. If you can think of anything else that you think makes sense I am open to suggestions. “…My question, Vin, is – what does he mean by “ratio”? Also, for what it’s worth, my team looks like this-

Probably get the master standings up in a couple weeks. This early they change a lot every day, plus so many teams are still changing their names, which messes the overall standings page until I figure out who made the change.
