DP — I have Germano in an NL-only league — so far he’s been great. I’d use him in mixed leagues at home and bench him against tougher opponents on the road. He doesn’t strikeout many, which is never cause to celebrate, but in Petco — Randy Wolf is usable.

Love to give him a shot, and Zimm’s wrist must be hurting, LOL.

Also why no pub for J. Germano? Great WHIP & park etc.

Grey-- The other day I traded Rich Hill, Shane Victorino and Felipe Lopez for Cole Hamels and Orlando Hudson. Hudson was in my starting lineup today but just for a chance at some extra steals or a triple (got the steal anyway). O-Dawg is on my bench, but I'm going to try and flip him soon I think. That trade worked out for me though, considering Victorino was placed on the DL today out of nowhere. BBT Jon's last blog post..Bench Johjima!

seems like your team is pretty loaded. no reason to keep offense on the bench so i’d trade the unproven longoria and butler. also no reason to trade a crappy closer b/c you’re not desparate for pitching…

Hey, Greg, we share three letters.

It’s hard to know packages because I’m not sure what other teams have (ie Does another team have Shields and Maine?) Cause that would be a great package for Dunn or Pena. So without knowing specifics, I’d say try and trade Dunn, Byrnes or Pena for two second tier pitchers who others may not be as fond of as us. Examples of these, Maine, Shields, C.C. Sabathia (only because he’s started so bad), Ian Snell, Javier Vazquez, Tim Hudson, etc:

If you can get something like Maine and Shields for Byrnes and Sherrill, I’d think you’d be in good shape.

I have Longoria, Butler, Hamilton on my bench with Braun, Dunn/Byrnes/C Lee, Adrian Gonzalez/Carlos Pena ahead of each, respestively. Its a 10 team daily league with standard pitching categories plus QS. I need pitching badly. I am open to trading anyone except Braun and Lee. What kind of pitching should I be able to get in return and with what packages? I’d throw in any of my crappy closers too, Lyon, Sherill, Soriano.

I'm contemplating putting a claim in for him. Actually I have one on him, and I'm contemplating whether or not I want to cancel it. Considering he has limited time at AAA last year and wasn't all that great, I find it hard to believe he'll even come close to living up to the hype.
