This year 12/35 and 15/18 are Hawaiian and Kemp’s respective projections. Next year, I see the same from Victorino and Kemp going 20/20. So it’s a matter of what you need I guess. I don’t see Kemp suddenly being a 40/40 guy if that’s what you’re thinking.

Speaking of Juan Pierre induced migraines, I was offered Matt Kemp straight up for Shane Victorino in a 12 team H2H keeper. We keep 12 players. I'm in the process of rebuilding this team I took over at the end of last year with maybe a 50/50 shot at making the playoffs. If I take Kemp and have him sit 3-4 days a week, I could plug Eugenio Velez or Bill Hall in my lineup. Should I gamble on Kemp becoming a stud starting next year, or stick with the possible 10/40 production of the Flyin' Hawaiin? This doesn't seem like a buy low opportunity to me, unless you guys like Matt Kemp's ceiling is higher they I do. Thanks. Herb Urban's last blog post..Rick Springfield Fanny Pack Sighting!

Soto and Hernandez have had one good game apiece and Ruiz hasn’t had any. If you must, I’d go for the upside of Soto over Hernandez. Right now, I’m holding tight with Ruiz. Next week, I’ll reassess.

I am watching the Reds-Brewers and I just realized Rickie Weeks is not a bright person. With 2 strikes even I know I’m not going to get something to hit…he’s a major leaguer, why does he think he will? How did he get through high school?
